Origin: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

History: The group started by the Bible Student movement, with the formation of Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society. The name Jehovah’s witnesses was adopted in 1931 to distinguish themselves from other Bible Student groups and symbolize a break with the legacy of Russell's traditions.

Lifes Purpose
The purpose of life in the eyes of Jehovah's Witness is to ensure that you live forever after death.
Afterlife
The afterlife consists of only 144,000 chosen people that will reign in Heaven with God. The rest of the witnesses will live on earth to restore paradise. All others will be annihilated, however, there is no hell. 

Worship Practices (what/when/where)
Witnesses meet on Sunday at the Kingdom Hall for a public meeting, which includes a Bible-based lecture. A second meeting, lasting about an hour, features discussion of an article from Watchtower magazine. Meetings begin and end with prayer and may include singing. Meetings are conducted by elders or overseers.

Reflection

With this project I have the opportunity to understand and learn about practices of people of an other religion, in this case the Jehova's Witnesses. It was really helpful because I did not knew much information of this religion. For example I didn't knew that they read a bibile similar to the one that catholics use. It was really interesting to look for their practices and what they think about life, past and future.
